Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and electronic agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply when you access or use SportCV, including the website, athlete-profile tools, search features, media galleries, video links, contact-request tools, dashboards, requester accounts, messages, and related services.

By checking an acceptance box, creating an account or profile, submitting a request, uploading content, or otherwise using SportCV after being presented with these Terms, you electronically agree to them. You also acknowledge the Privacy Policy and any separate adult-profile or parent/legal-guardian certification presented during submission.

If you use SportCV for an organization or another person, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization or act for that person. If you do not agree or lack authority, do not use SportCV.

2. Operator, governing law, and forum

SportCV is owned and operated by Green Roads LLC, a California limited liability company, doing business as SportCV. These Terms are governed by California law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except to the extent non-waivable law provides otherwise.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, any dispute, claim, or legal proceeding relating to SportCV or these Terms must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and each party consents to those courts’ personal jurisdiction and venue.

3. Users from other states and countries

SportCV is intended to support global athlete discovery. If you use SportCV from outside California or outside the United States, you are responsible for following laws that apply to you in your location.

SportCV may not be appropriate, available, or legally usable in every country, region, school system, league, or sports organization. We may limit access to certain features, countries, organizations, or users if necessary for safety, legal, technical, or business reasons.

4. Eligibility and account types

SportCV is designed for athletes, parents or legal guardians, coaches, scouts, clubs, teams, schools, academies, and sports-related organizations.

• Adult athletes: Athletes who are at least 18 may create and manage their own profiles and must certify their age, accuracy, and content rights.
• Under-18 athletes: Youth profiles must be created and managed through a parent or legal guardian account.
• Children under 13: Children under 13 may not independently create an account, submit personal information, or manage a profile. The parent or legal guardian must complete SportCV’s electronic parental-consent process before an under-13 profile is created. Public display requires a separate affirmative choice.
• Parents and legal guardians: The adult creating a youth profile represents that they are legally authorized to act for the athlete, consent to the collection and use of submitted information and media, and—when they enable public visibility—separately authorize public display. They must have all necessary permissions. They are responsible for profile accuracy, visibility, media, permissions, contact settings, and evaluating requests or opportunities.
• Sports-related requesters: Coaches, scouts, clubs, schools, organizations, and other requesters must provide accurate identity and organization information and may be required to verify their role.

5. Athlete profiles and public content

SportCV profiles may include an athlete name, public slug, sport, role, team/club, nationality, general location, age or age group, gender selection—including “Not shared”—started-at age, physical information, skills, achievements, development timeline, statistics, photos, videos, and other profile details.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, permissions, and appropriateness of content you submit. You must not upload or publish content that is false, misleading, unsafe, abusive, private without permission, infringing, sexually explicit, discriminatory, harassing, exploitative, or illegal.

6. Youth safety and parent control

Youth-profile visibility, media, contact access, and requests are controlled through the parent or legal guardian account and SportCV request tools.

• The parent or legal guardian controls youth-profile information, media, public visibility, and contact decisions.
• For an athlete under 13, the parent must review the direct notice, re-enter the parent-account password, choose collection and public-display permissions, and provide an electronic signature.
• The electronic signature, account re-authentication, consent wording, policy versions, timestamp, profile ID, IP address, user agent, and consent reference may be retained as evidence of the authorization.
• Consent to collect and privately manage the profile is separate from consent to display the profile publicly. Without public-display consent, public access, search, sharing, contact requests, and public media remain disabled.
• The parent may withdraw consent. Withdrawal makes the profile private immediately and may lead to deletion or restricted retention as required by law.
• Under-18 requests are routed for parent/legal-guardian review before SportCV messaging access opens.
• Users must not bypass parent controls or SportCV channels to contact a minor or obtain private details.
• Parents remain responsible for independently evaluating requesters, opportunities, meetings, travel, payments, contracts, and offline communication.
• SportCV may hide content, restrict contact, suspend accounts, preserve records, or report conduct when reasonably necessary for safety or legal compliance.

SportCV is not an emergency service and does not continuously monitor every profile, request, or message. Call emergency services when immediate danger exists.

7. SportCV requests and messaging

SportCV permits sports-related requesters to seek contact permission, additional information, or messaging access through controlled request tools. Requests must be legitimate, accurate, age-appropriate, and sports-related.

Green Roads LLC does not guarantee or endorse any requester, identity, organization, message, offer, tryout, invitation, or opportunity. SportCV is not an agent, recruiter, employer, coach, school, club, guardian, or party to agreements between users.

Private phone numbers, private emails, home addresses, exact schedules, and direct under-18 access are not shown publicly or shared automatically. Spam, harassment, scams, misleading offers, unsafe invitations, inappropriate payment demands, and attempts to bypass safety controls are prohibited.

8. Coach verification and scout features

SportCV may include “Verified by Coach,” scout mode, profile comparison, saved athletes, or similar discovery tools. Verification means only that SportCV or a listed person/organization may have completed a particular verification step. It does not guarantee athletic ability, eligibility, scholarship offers, contracts, recruitment, or professional opportunity.

Coaches, scouts, clubs, schools, and organizations are responsible for their own evaluation, due diligence, compliance, and communication with athletes or guardians.

9. Photos, videos, logos, and intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Green Roads LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, resize, format, organize, transmit, display, and otherwise use that content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, promote, and improve SportCV and display profiles according to applicable settings.

You represent that you own or have all permissions, releases, licenses, and legal authority needed for every photo, video, logo, name, statistic, document, and other material you submit, including content depicting a minor.

SportCV may remove, limit, or preserve content that appears unsafe, inappropriate, infringing, misleading, unauthorized, low quality, or inconsistent with these Terms or law.

10. Prohibited uses

You agree not to misuse SportCV. Prohibited uses include:

• Creating fake athlete, parent, coach, scout, club, school, or organization accounts.
• Impersonating another person, team, school, club, scout, coach, or organization.
• Collecting, scraping, copying, selling, or exporting profile data without permission.
• Contacting minors or requesting private information outside approved parent/guardian or SportCV platform channels.
• Uploading harmful code, attacking the platform, or interfering with security.
• Using SportCV for scams, harassment, exploitation, discrimination, adult content, trafficking, illegal recruiting, gambling, or illegal activity.
• Making false claims about offers, scholarships, contracts, schools, visas, eligibility, or professional opportunities.

10A. Electronic signatures and consent records

When SportCV presents an electronic parental-consent form, clicking the final signing button after account-password re-authentication and providing an electronic signature shows the signer’s intent to sign and consent to the displayed record. The signer agrees that the electronic record may be stored and reproduced in an accurate form.

SportCV may require additional verification, reject an incomplete or inconsistent submission, or keep a profile private when identity, authority, consent, or legal requirements are not sufficiently established. A false claim of parental or guardian authority is a material violation of these Terms.

11. Privacy and data protection

Your use of SportCV is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, where it may be processed, and what choices may be available to users, parents, and guardians.

12. Service availability and changes

SportCV may change, improve, limit, pause, suspend, or discontinue any feature or part of the service at any time, with or without notice where permitted by law.

We do not guarantee that SportCV will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or compatible with every device, browser, country, league, school, or organization.

13. No guarantee of opportunities or third parties

SportCV helps athletes organize and share sports information, but Green Roads LLC does not guarantee discovery, recruitment, scholarships, contracts, tryouts, visas, immigration results, school admission, team selection, verification, messages, responses, safety, identity, or conduct of any user or third party.

Users are responsible for independently verifying every person, opportunity, club, coach, school, event, organization, invitation, contract, fee, travel plan, meeting, and payment before sharing information, traveling, paying money, signing documents, or making commitments. Any offline interaction is undertaken at the users’ own risk.

14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SportCV is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, Green Roads LLC disclaims all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted operation, security, and the safety or legitimacy of users, communications, or opportunities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Green Roads LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; lost profits, data, opportunities, goodwill, or business; unauthorized access caused by user conduct; or disputes, injuries, losses, payments, travel, meetings, contracts, or offline interactions involving users or third parties.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of Green Roads LLC arising from or relating to SportCV or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to SportCV during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or (b) US $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, willful injury, or other conduct that applicable law does not permit a party to waive.

15. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Green Roads LLC and its members, managers, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and reasonable legal expenses arising from your content, account, profile, requests, messages, conduct, violation of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, unauthorized youth profile or media, false statements, or offline interactions.

This obligation does not require you to indemnify a protected party for that party’s own fraud, willful misconduct, or liability that applicable law does not permit to be shifted.

16. Assignment and business transfer

You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without Green Roads LLC’s prior written consent. Green Roads LLC may assign these Terms and transfer SportCV accounts, contracts, intellectual property, and related business records to an affiliate, successor, purchaser, or newly formed SportCV company in connection with a reorganization, financing, sale, or transfer of the SportCV business, subject to applicable law.

17. Account suspension, removal, and termination

SportCV may suspend, restrict, hide, or remove accounts, profiles, media, messages, contact access, or public visibility when Green Roads LLC reasonably believes these Terms were violated, content is unsafe or misleading, a youth-safety concern exists, legal risk exists, or continued access may harm users or the platform.

Users may request account deletion or profile removal through account settings or the SportCV Support page. Limited records may be retained when reasonably necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, safety, backup, or compliance purposes.

18. Changes and general provisions

Green Roads LLC may update these Terms as SportCV changes. Material updates may be presented through the website, account dashboard, email, or another reasonable method. When affirmative acceptance is required, continued access may be conditioned on accepting the updated Terms.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable submission certification are the entire agreement concerning SportCV. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including content licenses, disclaimers, liability limitations, indemnification, dispute terms, and record-retention rights—will survive.
