Youth Safety & Parent Policy

SportCV is owned and operated by Green Roads LLC, doing business as SportCV. The platform helps young athletes share their sports journey while keeping parent or legal guardian control central to profile creation, visibility, media, contact requests, and account decisions.

Youth profiles and parental control

Athlete profiles for users under 18 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. The adult represents that they have legal authority to act for the athlete and controls profile details, visibility, media, contact permissions, account updates, removal requests, and safety decisions. Children under 13 may not independently submit personal information or manage a profile. Before an under-13 profile is created, the parent reviews a direct notice, chooses the public-display permission, and provides an electronic signature confirming parental consent.

What information can be public?

SportCV profiles are meant to show athletic development, not expose private personal information. Youth profiles use limited, sports-relevant public information selected by the parent or legal guardian.

  • May be public: athlete name, sport, role/position, one two-year age group, city/region, country, skills, achievements, photos, and highlight video. The only youth age labels are Age Group 6–7, Age Group 8–9, Age Group 10–11, Age Group 12–13, Age Group 14–15, and Age Group 16–17.
  • Not displayed publicly: exact youth age, date of birth, home address, private email, private phone number, exact school or practice schedule, or other sensitive personal details.
  • Location: SportCV uses general location such as city, state/region, and country instead of exact addresses for youth athletes.
  • Media: photos and videos must be sports-related, appropriate, and submitted or approved by the parent or legal guardian.

Who can request information about under-18 athletes?

SportCV does not publicly display private contact details or exact schedules for youth athletes. Contact permission and additional information are requested through controlled, reviewable SportCV tools.

Green Roads LLC does not guarantee or endorse the identity, intentions, conduct, organization, or opportunity described by any requester. Parents and legal guardians remain responsible for independently evaluating all requests, meetings, travel, payments, contracts, and offline communication.

  • Coaches, scouts, clubs, teams, schools, academies, trainers, event organizers, sponsors, and other sports-related requesters may request contact when allowed by profile settings.
  • Parent/guardian review: contact requests for under-18 athletes are routed through parent/legal-guardian controls before messaging access opens.
  • No direct public private details: youth profiles do not publicly display private phone numbers, private emails, home addresses, or exact school/practice schedules.
  • Unsafe contact: suspicious, inappropriate, misleading, or abusive contact may be restricted, blocked, reported, or removed.

How contact requests should work

A sports-related requester sends a SportCV request The requester explains who they are, what organization they represent, what information they need, and why the request is sports-related.

SportCV keeps private details hidden The athlete’s private phone number, private email, home address, exact school/practice schedule, and direct under-18 access are not exposed publicly.

Parent/guardian can review For under-18 athletes, the parent or legal guardian can review, approve, decline, archive, block, or report contact and information requests.

Unsafe behavior can be reported SportCV may review reports and restrict accounts, remove content, disable contact features, or remove profiles when needed for safety.

Reporting a profile or message

Users, parents, guardians, coaches, scouts, and visitors can report content or behavior that may be unsafe, false, inappropriate, unauthorized, or harmful.

  • Fake or impersonation profile
  • Unauthorized youth athlete profile
  • Inappropriate photo, video, message, or contact request
  • Harassment, bullying, pressure, or unsafe behavior
  • False sports claims, misleading identity, or suspicious scouting/recruiting activity

Removing or restricting accounts

SportCV may review reports and take action to protect athletes, parents, and the platform. This may include content removal, contact restrictions, profile hiding, account suspension, or account removal.

  • Parent removal requests: parents/legal guardians may request removal or restriction of a youth athlete profile they believe is unauthorized or unsafe.
  • Safety review: SportCV may temporarily hide content while reviewing a safety concern.
  • Policy violations: accounts that misuse SportCV, misrepresent identity, or contact youth athletes inappropriately may be restricted or removed.
